Why should teachers be tutors?

  • Help children and adults to accelerate their learning. As a tutor, teachers can provide personalised attention and support, enabling students to grasp complex concepts, overcome learning challenges, and progress at a faster pace.
  • Teach with flexibility and autonomy.Tutoring allows teachers to design their own lesson plans, choose teaching methods, and work on their own schedule, giving them greater control over their professional lives.
  • Improve your practice. Tutoring helps teachers refine their teaching skills, explore new strategies, and gain experience working with diverse students, ultimately enhancing their effectiveness as educators.
  • Focus on your passion. Tutoring enables teachers to concentrate on the subjects and areas they are most passionate about, leading to more enjoyable and fulfilling teaching experiences.
  • Improve your work-life balance. With the flexibility to set their own schedules, teachers can better balance their personal and professional responsibilities, reducing stress and increasing overall well-being.
  • Build your reputation. As an independent tutor, teachers can establish a strong reputation within their community and among their peers, leading to increased demand for their services and professional recognition.
  • Expand your network. Tutoring provides opportunities to connect with new students, families, and fellow educators, expanding one's professional network and creating potential opportunities for collaboration or referrals.
  • Earn additional income. Tutoring can serve as a supplementary source of income, providing financial stability and increased control over one's earnings.
