Lucy's biography
Lucy received a First from the University of Manchester, studying International Management (BSc). Her passion for Business and Economies led to her joining the Teach First Leadership Development programme to train as a Business Studies teacher. She taught Economics (A Level and GCSE), Business Studies (A Level), and Business Communications (GCSE), for two years in a London school. Here she gained her qualified teacher status whilst teaching a full timetable, and was promoted to Key Stage 4 Lead after only one year in the classroom. Her Economics and Business Communications classes achieved both the highest GCSE pass rate and overall grades in the school. This experience has made her a fantastic Economics tutor, both with the IB and A level.
Lucy is currently working for a consumer organisation, in order to gain some hands on experience of how businesses work. Hard-working and committed to ensuring all her pupils achieve outstanding grades, her subject knowledge and deep interest in her subject make her an excellent tutor. She has a proven track record of helping students achieve well above their target grades. She has excellent curriculum knowledge of a range of exam boards in both Business Studies and Economics. When not tutoring Lucy loves running, tennis, skiing, horse riding, literature and cooking.
