"Mark was very helpful over the past few months working with our son on his 13+ exams. He has deep experience working with children st the stage, both as a former teacher in a leading school and as a tutor for several children applying to similar schools. At the end our son did very well, got two offers and will be joining Whitgift in September."

We collect references for all of our tutors when they join. Not all referees agree to have their reference publically listed, but when they do we show them here.
I have known Mark for eight years, since he started a full time position at our leading, co-educational day school, in September 2010. During this time, he has impressed me as a highly skilled and dedicated Teacher of Physics and Chemistry. Mark’s classes always achieve good results in tests and exams, indicating that the pupils had gained both confidence in and a facility with the subject. Mark’s natural ability and determination to succeed are confirmed by his First Class honours degree in Materials Science from Oxford University, and he displays an incisive, logical mind. However, he never rests on his laurels and is continually developing his knowledge and understanding through further research and practical experiment. His hard work and effort have benefitted his students and the department. Mark has an easy-going and friendly personality. He works well as part of academic and pastoral teams. Whilst at Latymer Upper, he has become extremely popular with both staff and students. He has engendered respect amongst his colleagues as a committed and innovative professional, who is happy to share ideas with others and continually seeks to develop his own performance through effective reflection. During his tenure here, Mark has always been willing to take on additional responsibilities and has been, for the last few years, a very successful Co-ordinator in charge of all student UCAS applications for Medicine, Veterinary Science and Law. This is a role which requires excellent interpersonal and planning skills, together with rigorous attention to detail. I am certain that he would be a very successful Owl tutor and strongly recommend him to you.
