I have known Claire for the past five years, in her role as Curriculum Coordinator at The Oxford School, Santiago. For part of this time, I have taught 11th and 12th grade English Language streamed groups alongside Claire. As a teacher, Claire's planning shows her knowledge and adherence to the CIE exam syllabus, as well as her desire to keep students interested, engaged and suitably challenged. Claire has demonstrated her ability to break down complex tasks into a series of lessons, scaffolding students' learning to aid their understanding and skills development. Claire also enjoys using technology in her classes, utilizing the school's iPads along with interactive media wherever possible. Her classes have also received regular, detailed, constructive feedback on their work, which they have appreciated. Despite having streamed groups, we still have a significant diversity in language capabilities. Some students have more than twelves years of experience of being taught in English, while some only have a few. This is a significant challenge, but Claire has endeavored to differentiate tasks and support all students with personalized feedback so that they are all challenged and can feel a sense of achievement. Claire is an incredibly helpful individual with regard to her coworkers, as well, and has helped me immeasurably in my pursuit of being a more effective teacher. Her planning and organization skills are impeccable and she has done a lot to help me to become a better English teacher. On a personal note, she is a great friend and my professional opinion is that she is an excellent teacher and administrator and an eminently honest and kind person. With Claire's knowledge, experience and dedication, I'm confident that she will be a good online tutor and that her students should achieve great things!

I worked with Claire for many years and it was a pleasure watching her teach. She was very conscientious and worked very hard. Her subject knowledge was excellent and she was an excellent teacher. Claire ensured she differentiated her teaching and tasks to include for the children in her class and as a result they all made good progress. Her classroom was an example to us all, her displays were amazing! Claire was able to problem solve and showed great initiative. Claire has great integrity and is completely trustworthy, honest and reliable. She also has a great sense of humour.
