Recent testimonials:

"Leo tutored my son for 2 months, during which time he progressed most noticeably in both Maths and English. This was reflected by the increase in his grades at school. He always made sure that my son understood a particular concept instead of just memorising it. He persevered and never got frustrated when my son didn’t quite get something at first. It was clear that he had genuine enthusiasm for what he was teaching."

Leo was an outstanding member of the English department and I cannot recommend him highly enough. His attention to detail and individualised approach to teaching lessons ensured that pupils consistently made progress and exceeded their target grades. The GCSE classes that Leo was responsible for achieved excellent results and many achieved top grades. Leo’s pedagogical and curriculum knowledge is second to none and this, combined with his varied experiences in the education sector makes for a variety of approaches to teaching topics, excellent classroom delivery and high quality resources. Leo’s high expectations of the pupils he taught ensured they achieved well. His friendly and personable nature meant that pupils were able to approach him during and out of lesson time where he was always willing to go the extra mile and offer his assistance. His great sense of humour meant he was well liked by both pupils and staff in the department which made for excellent working relationships. He would be an asset to Owl Tutors.

Leo was accountable to me as Chair of Governors throughout the period he spent at Reading Girls' School. During his time there he achieved substantial improvements in the progress and attainment of the students as well as developing excellent relationships with the staff, students and parents. He is very focused in aiming high but also sensitive and empathetic with the people with whom he is working be they staff or students.
