Patricia has worked with children aiming to attend the following schools:
Patricia graduated with a Bachelor of Education (primary) from Macquarie University (Australia) in 1992. She has pursued an international teaching career spanning 27 years, working predominantly in independent schools in Australia, Luxembourg and England. She has a wide range of educational experiences which includes teaching The International Baccalaureate (PYP) programme.
As an educator, Patricia has held several leadership roles utilising her strengths in curriculum development and program design. She has an excellent level of skill in task differentiation, implementation of efficient assessment strategies and the development of effective, targeted intervention. As a highly experienced teacher, she has held executive roles of leadership including Key Stage leader, Housemaster and lead supervising teacher for the Boston University teacher exchange program. This has enabled her to have a sharp understanding of both student needs and curriculum standards. Patricia has also enjoyed using these skills to successfully tutor students.
Her passion for teaching is obvious in the rapport she establishes with her students. Patricia appreciates that developing strong relationships, with both the parent and the student, is critical to success. Her energy and sense of fun ensure that the tasks are stimulating and engaging. Having worked in both single sex and coeducational settings, Patricia has a deep understanding of exactly how to maintain the attention of a student who is reluctant or confused. She has a proven ability to build confidence, to set achievable goals and to strive for academic excellence.
As a lifelong learner – Patricia enjoys the challenge of real life goal setting, such as running half marathons. The mindset, routine and discipline to participate in long distance running is a great metaphor for her teaching practice. She has coached basketball, football and track and field and understands the importance of pursuing interests beyond the classroom.
She loves being creative and has a strong passion for cooking and art. In her spare time, she runs a small catering company – selling through market stalls or catering events, as well as writing a cooking class blog.
Patricia qualified to teach Primary education in 1992, and holds a Bachelor of Education, Primary from NSW Education Standards Authority.

For over fifteen years Patricia has worked as a lead teacher whilst implementing the Primary Years Programme component, of the International Baccalaureate, at Trinity Grammar School in Sydney and at the International School of London. Her extensive knowledge of transdisciplinary inquiry affords a high level of capability when developing programs to suit the individual needs of the child.
"We liked Tricia but I’d have preferred it if my son could have seen her more regularly. She is clearly very popular and I understand why. She was good at slotting us in if she could."

Mother of 7 plus student in London
"Tricia is currently tutoring our son in preparation for a 7+ exam and we cannot recommend her interpersonal skills and teaching style highly enough. Tricia very quickly built a rapport with our son and myself and I feel very comfortable with her assessment of my sons capability and recommendations to help him thrive. Above all, I can clearly see my son is having a great time, whilst learning lots of new skills which is wonderful to see."

We collect references for all of our tutors when they join. Not all referees agree to have their reference publically listed, but when they do we show them here.
I have no hesitation in recommending Patricia to any teaching role. She is an extraordinary educator and carer for children. Patricia is a generous and hardworking colleague.

Patricia, like all of our tutors, is a qualified teacher and has been interviewed by us personally. All of our tutors have at least two years of classroom teaching experience and come with fantastic references and criminal records checks.
