Philip's biography

Philip left school with A-Levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. He then went on to complete his B.Sc. at the University of Bristol and graduated with a first class Masters' degree from The Business School, University of Exeter. Philip then qualified as a teacher, he trained in teaching Secondary School Science with a particular specialism in Physics.

Philip then worked as a private tutor preparing pupils for senior school entrance at 7+,11+, 13+ as well as preparing teenagers to sit their GCSE's and A-Level examinations.

For the past six years, Philip has been teaching at one of the country's leading Preparatory Schools. Philip has been teaching Maths and Science from years 3-8 which has included 13+ Common Entrance and Scholarship material.

Philip also specialises in School entrance and has a vast experience of preparing pupils for entrance exams, pre-tests and interviews for the top schools in the country. Philip has been involved in assessing pupils entering schools at 7 and 11 and therefore knows what schools are looking for.

When Philip is not teaching he enjoys golf, running and cooking.

Over the last six years Philip have successfully prepared over 150 pupils for entrance into the most prestigious Public Schools in England. The schools which Philip has worked most closely with are: Eton; Winchester; Radley; Marlborough; Harrow and Sherborne as well as many other schools.

Over this time, more than 90% of pupils have achieved entrance into their first choice school. Moreover, over 30 scholarships have been won including the top academic awards to Winchester, Eton and Marlborough. A large number of scholarships have also been won to Repton, Sherborne, Charterhouse, Canford and Harrow.
