7 Plus and 8 Plus

Joe's biography:

Originally from Ireland, Joe studied Business at The University of Liverpool. A passion for working with young people led him to the classroom through a highly competitive graduate teaching programme. He spent two years as a Primary teacher in teaching across Years 1-3 in a London school. Joe received his PGCE from the Institute of Education and was commended for his work in co-leading a Maths "Gifted and Talented club". Joe is now working for the College of Teaching, looking at research into the most effective way to teach.

Due to his previous experience both in the classroom and as a tutor, Joe is well aware of the requirements to get pupils to Level 3 in Numeracy and Literacy. Through teaching he has great expertise in preparing pupils for end of Year 2 SATs exams, placing him in an ideal position to tutor for Seven Plus exams. Joe is an extremely friendly and nurturing tutor, always placing the child's needs and interests first. In Joe's spare time, he enjoys cycling and reading.

Joe's qualifications:

Joe qualified to teach Primary education in 2011, and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Institute of Education, UCL.
