Maria has several years tutoring experience with a focus on 7 Plus, 11 Plus and general Primary. She has tutored both at home and online and is experienced in engaging younger students via Skype! Maria has always adopted a highly personalised approach to learning; honing in on a pupil’s interests to ensure maximum engagement and enjoyment.
Maria’s previous experience in tutoring has focused on ‘plugging the gaps’ that are preventing pupils from progressing in their learning for pupils in both Key Stage One and Key Stage Two, alongside specific preparation for 7 Plus, 11 Plus and 13 Plus examinations. She has also tutored students preparing for Spanish GCSE and A Levels, often using games and drama to support spoken language skills. Maria has proven success in supporting Oxbridge applications for Modern Languages and English through advising on personal statements and conducting mock interviews.
In her free time, she can often be found cooking, eating or reading a good book!

Maria, like all of our tutors, is a qualified teacher and has been interviewed by us personally. All of our tutors have at least two years of classroom teaching experience and come with fantastic references and criminal records checks.
