Tutor profile - Ana

Ana holds a degree in Classical Philology from the University of Barcelona. Apart from her knowledge of Latin and ancient Greek, she is an avid linguist and traveller, and she is fluent in five languages. During her time at university, she contributed to research thanks to a departmental collaboration scholarship. Since then, she has kept active in the discipline, and has published book reviews as well as participated in frequent academic workshops and seminars.

Ana has been teaching Classics and MFL courses in secondary schools in the UK since 2009, always with fantastic results. Many of her students have gone on to study Classics at top universities. Ana's strength is her ability to foster linguistic appreciation while at the same time making modern and ancient literature more accessible and enjoyable. In her free time, Ana can be found mudlarking on the foreshore of the river Thames. She is always keen to share and discuss her archaeological finds!
