Emma studied Bed(Hons) at Kingston University and then went on to study for a Post Grad at the University of Westminster in Broadcast Journalism where she was awarded the BBC Bursary. She believes that to be a successful teacher one has to experience different professional industries which will enhance pupils' learning. She became a producer at the BBC in London and worked in very high profile programmes. She continued her teaching career after having two children and has taught in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Mauritius and China. In Barcelona, she had her own private language school teaching over 170 students a week ranging from primary to business level English. In Mauritius she was the English Consultant implementing English Curriculum Programmes for private French schools. In China she trained in the IB curriculum.
She has been a visiting lecturer at Birmingham City University teaching Media Studies and Professional Development and stood for local council in the West Midlands. She brings a wealth of information and experience to teaching.

Since 2010 Emma has prepared students for entrance exams to several preparatory schools, grammar schools and private schools in and around the Midlands, including King Edward VI Grammar School for Girls, Handsworth, camp Hill, King Edward Grammar School for Boys, Handsworth, Aston and camp Hill, Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls and Bishop Vesey Grammar school.
Whilst living abroad in Spain, Mauritius and China she prepared students for entrance exams to Private International schools which also included IB.

Emma qualified to teach English in 1991, and holds a BEd(Hons) from Kingston University.
