Greg has worked with children aiming to attend the following schools:
Greg is a highly qualified teacher and tutor with 4 years’ experience. Having secured a First Class degree in politics, he moved into teaching. He studied at the UCL Institute of Education (the #1 rated provider of teacher training worldwide), and attained Qualified Teacher Status with ‘outstanding’ grading.
Since then, he has built up a proven track record in schools and as a tutor, working with groups of children and 1 to 1, with a particular emphasis on exam preparation. This combination of experiences has given him a compelling set of skills in lesson planning, behaviour management, pedagogy, subject and curriculum knowledge and relationship and confidence building.
His methodology is simple and twofold: know the subject and know the child.
If he knows the subject, he can plan memorable and engaging lessons which promote depth and breadth of learning. If he knows the child, he can tailor his teaching and content to their strengths and needs, he can diagnose accurately their misconceptions and plan next steps, and he can motivate them to want to learn and succeed.
Testimonials:
"Greg has been a fantastic maths tutor to our daughter throughout the lockdown. We were worried about her falling behind, but with Greg's tailored approach we have been delighted to see her really blossom and exceed the level of her class peers. He is very patient, approachable and makes the lessons fun - our daughter really looks forward to her Maths lessons with him! I was also really impressed by how well learning over Skype worked. Our daughter is only Year One, but Greg had the perfect mix of show and do, making it interactive and keeping her engaged. He's clearly an experienced and talented teacher - we're very pleased to hav benefited from his expertise."

I highly recommend Greg as a teacher or tutor at your school or institution. As Head teacher of Beckford Primary school, I have had the pleasure of working with Greg since October 2019. Within this time, he has been a cover teacher for all year groups, from Nursery to Year 6. He is a versatile practitioner, who always gives 100% to whatever class he is teaching. During his time at Beckford, he showed that he was a team player, who was committed to communicating with teaching teams in order to get the best out of the children. He was always keen to be involved with the planning, preparation and marking. His ability to work with any year group shows that he is a versatile teacher who can apply himself to any class he is directed to teach. Not only is he keen to get positive outcomes, he is able to develop positive relationships with the children. This is a key attribute if you are working with classes, groups or individuals. He has a good rapport with people of all ages, especially children. His ability to connect with his students and his talent at teaching simple concepts, as well as more advanced topics, are a strength. His subject knowledge is broad as he has experience of teaching all Primary age groups. Greg is also committed to safeguarding and communicating with teachers and the Designated Safeguarding Lead. He understands safeguarding procedures and is always vigilant when applying them. Greg accomplishes all the tasks asked of him, by being proactive and applying a positive attitude. I recommend Greg to you without reservation.

Greg is incredibly hard working and diligent individual. During his time at our school, he worked across all year groups (Nursery to Year 6). He was flexible and responsive to the children's needs, managing challenging behaviour at times and adapting to different key stage expectations. He built rapport with the students quickly. He also tutored 1:1 with a year 6 student, he was knowledgeable about curriculum expectations and used his assessments to adapt learning to the individuals needs. Greg is punctual and reliable.

Greg was a reliable and committed member of the team who would rise to challenges. If he didn’t know something or was confused, he would ask and if he had insight to share he was confident to do so. He was a pleasure to work with and I have no doubt he’d be an asset to your tutoring team. The children enjoyed his lessons and learnt a lot. He has adaptable skills to suit different learners and situations.
