Matt has over 10 years’ experience working in an outstanding North London primary school, teaching both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. He has extensive experience of teaching Year 5 and Year 6 – including preparing children for SATS examinations and the transition to both state and independent secondary schools. Matt has worked with children who have gone on to attend Latymer, Highgate, UCS and Channing.
He has taught students with a wide range of additional needs such as ASC, dyslexia and ADHD. Matt is excellent at adapting and personalising learning for each student, in order to motivate them and suit their individual learning style.
He particularly enjoys teaching English and reading to children, especially creative writing (an area he has extra training in).
As an experienced, kind and creative primary educator, Matt thrives on building connections with his students to help them make excellent academic progress and gain confidence. Matt always endeavours to make the learning exciting and engaging.
