Rémy's biography

Rémy is an outstanding, full-time tutor and role-model who has a proven track record of success with admissions to top London schools. His success is routed in establishing clear and positive relationships with his students and students’ families that place engagement with learning and individual educational progress as targets his pupils internalise and aspire to themselves. The approach that Rémy has developed leads to accelerated progress for his students as they continue to develop as people and learners beyond their tutoring contact time. Through being more curious and engaged with learning and events around them and having the ability to more effectively ask penetrating and revealing questions, Rémy’s students develop both their understanding of the world they live in and develop the skills to succeed in the academic challenges they face.
Rémy understands that no two learners are the same and has extensive experience with students who are neurodiverse or have Special Educational Needs (SEN). He draws from thousands of hours of tutoring experience and the latest academic thinking to ensure each session is tailored, effective and contributes to providing the skill-set necessary to enable his students to reach their full potential. His ability to quickly grasp what makes his students 'tick' means that Rémy's sessions often become a highlight in the week for the children and families he works with. Rémy cares deeply about his students. He will always go 'the extra mile'. This holistic, child-centred approach to progress invariably leads to his pupils taking increasing responsibility for their work in a structured and positive environment and becoming happier and more confident and engaged learners. These skills are the key to success for the all-important exam and interview days.
Rémy has worked with several families who do not speak English as a first language at home. He is adept at helping children acquire the confidence and skills needed for their all-round English to improve and flourish as well as stretching the most able students to excel.

His extensive knowledge of child development, pedagogy and the requirements of the school curriculum and entrance exams from aged four to thirteen, means that he seamlessly works and connects with a range of ages and abilities, always being aware of the necessary next steps and how to get there. Families often engage Rémy to tutor multiple siblings.
