Nick earned a BSc in Physics from the University of Hull. After graduating, he joined AMEC Nuclear, gaining hands-on experience in the nuclear industry and deepening his understanding of physics in a professional setting. Following his industry experience, Nick returned to the University of Hull to complete a PhD in Physics. During his doctoral studies, he worked in the university's physics teaching laboratories for three years. In this role, he guided undergraduate students through complex experiments, honing his skills in scientific instruction and mentorship. His time as a lab demonstrator was marked by a commitment to helping students grasp challenging concepts and develop a keen interest in experimental physics.
With a wealth of knowledge and practical experience, Nick transitioned to teaching physics at the secondary education level, being awarded a scholarship by the Institute of Physics for his teacher training. He has dedicated the past seven years to educating students studying for their GCSEs and A-levels.
