Owl Tutors provides one-to-one home tuition to students based within London, and online tuition to students based all over the world.Tuition by Qualified Teachers
All Owl Tutors are fully qualified teachers, with at least one year of classroom teaching experience. They have exceptional academic records, and we hold copies of their relevant degree certificates. Before being accepted, tutors must submit a written application, attend a first round interview, and pass a teaching assessment. We only recruit tutors who we feel confident will deliver high quality, valuable tuition and build excellent rapport with our students. Owl Tutors provides free resources via our website. These include practice papers for 7, 8, 11 and 13 Plus school entrance exams and public exams. Our team of expert tutors also provides tips and advice via our blog.Natalie has been a brilliant maths tutor to our daughter over this academic year. Natalie has a very calm, warm manner and takes time to plan engaging and well-paced lessons. Natalie took time to set manageable homework tasks and gave helpful feedback on my daughter’s progress and areas to focus on. My daughter never complained about logging in to online lessons with Natalie and definitely benefitted from Natalie’s patience and interactive ideas. Natalie’s experience as a class teacher meant that I was confident that the lessons were focussed on the curriculum yet adapted to an appropriate level. I would definitely recommend Natalie!
Sam has been tutoring our daughter for the last 6 months, helping us navigate the North London 7+ prep and process. He really is fantastic, he’s built an excellent rapport with our daughter, working to understand where she needs more assistance but also her strengths/ what she finds fun and incorporating that into the lessons to continue to build her confidence. We’ve had other tutors who have a more ‘old school’ approach and our daughter used to not look forward to a very methodical, text book session. Sam reads our daughter’s mood well and manages to get the most out of her in a fun way, even when working through test papers. We highly recommend Sam.
