13 Plus and Common Entrance Science

When we first learned that our son had been invited to take part in the Winchester Election exams, we were incredibly nervous. With only four months to prepare and what felt like a mountain to climb, the challenge ahead seemed almost insurmountable. Jeni May was exceptional from the moment she started. She provided expert, comprehensive preparation across all Sciences, Mathematics, English, Geography and the General papers. Beyond the academic subjects, she also meticulously prepared our son for his interviews, giving him the confidence and presence of mind to excel under pressure. We want to say a massive thank you to Jeni for her tireless efforts, dedication, and expertise; it is undoubtedly because of her guidance that our son was ultimately selected. We give Jeni our highest possible recommendation for any family looking to secure a place at highly competitive 13+ schools.

Nicky has been a fantastic tutor to our son. She took him on with just three months to go before his MCS entrance exam and successfully raised his performance from a Level 5 at school to a Level 9 in mock tests. Her enthusiasm for English, clear structure, effective approach, and deep understanding of leading independent school examinations are exceptional. Everything she taught him was both relevant and essential to his success in the exam. We owe Nicky enormous gratitude for her dedication, effort, and commitment to ensuring he was fully prepared for every eventuality.

With just 10 weeks to go before a school entrance exam, Melisa rapidly identified our child’s strengths and weaknesses to then focus on specific areas in order to help them succeed and pass the test. We are very grateful for her targeted but low pressure approach to tuition which worked well for us.

Ali has been an amazing tutor. She completely understood my son and knew how best to help him with preparing for school entrance exams. Her sessions were always really affective and my son enjoyed them. We feel he has had the best preparation having had sessions with Ali.
