Verbal reasoning appears in almost every 10+ and 11+ assessment, yet it's a subject most children have not encountered in school. This course aims to remove unfamiliarity with verbal reasoning and therefore increase marks under time pressure. This introductory course is designed for children entering Year 5, whether they have 10+ exams this coming autumn or are preparing for 11+ the following year.
Over the course, children are introduced to the full range of verbal reasoning question types and learn the exam timings each one demands, building the confidence that comes from knowing what to expect. They leave equipped to practise independently and effectively and every family receives a set of resources to support that practice at home.
Starting early turns verbal reasoning from an unknown into a familiar, manageable part of the exam. Places are limited to 6 children to keep the group focused.
