Maybe you’ve always fancied learning Spanish but never quite known where to start.
Perhaps you’re planning a holiday, thinking about a move abroad, wanting to challenge yourself, or simply looking to do something enjoyable and useful in the evenings.
This live online beginners’ course is designed for adults with little or no previous knowledge of Spanish. The emphasis is very much on practical communication and building confidence gradually, without pressure or embarrassment.
Lessons take place once a week in a relaxed and supportive small-group setting.
You’ll learn how to introduce yourself, order food and drinks, ask for directions, book accommodation, understand basic conversations, and deal with the kinds of everyday situations that crop up when travelling in Spain or elsewhere in the Spanish-speaking world.
Most importantly, you’ll actually use the language from the very beginning.
I’ve taught Spanish for more than 30 years to students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners through to Oxbridge and IB level, and one thing I’ve learned is that adults often learn best when lessons feel enjoyable, structured, and encouraging rather than overly academic.
There’s no expectation to be perfect. The aim is steady progress, growing confidence, and helping you feel comfortable speaking aloud without worrying about getting everything exactly right.

Many adults come to Spanish feeling nervous because they “weren’t good at languages at school”. Very often, they simply never had the right environment or teaching approach. A calm, encouraging atmosphere makes an enormous difference.
The small class size means everyone gets individual attention and opportunities to speak, without feeling put on the spot.
