Roland specialises in preparing pupils for success in A level Chemistry (all English boards). After teaching A level Chemistry for 18 years as a Senior Teacher in prestigious independent schools, Roland is now an independent Education Consultant. Roland supports pupils aiming for top grades in A level Chemistry, in particular those wishing to apply for Oxbridge/Russell Group Chemistry, Medicine, Veterinary and Dentistry. Roland's dedication to A level Chemistry means that all his efforts and resources are directed towards this subject, allowing his pupils to access the full depth of the curriculum as well as extension opportunities to prepare for the challenge of university interviews. Roland also offers university preparation and UCAS guidance.

Roland holds a BSc from Bristol University and an MA in Education from Durham University, specialising in Teaching, Learning and Assessment. As an Education Consultant, Roland now offers curriculum and assessment guidance to institutions as well as high-level tuition and guidance to A level Chemistry pupils looking to maximise their final grades. Roland is a qualified Further Education Examinations Assessor/IQA for the Open College Network. Roland offers online tuition only, creating a supportive and friendly yet academically challenging learning environment for those A level Chemistry pupils aiming to achieve their very best in the final examinations. Roland offers both intensive exam revision and longer-term tuition arrangements to support pupils nearing examinations, pupils beginning their A level studies and also those pupils looking for a boost to their learning mid-way through the course.

Roland offers strength in depth across all A level topics, having been in the unusual but highly beneficial position of teaching all three elements of the A level (Organic, Inorganic and Physical) for the duration of his 18-year teaching career. Having worked with high-achieving sixth-form pupils for his entire schools career, and now supporting pupils as an external consultant, Roland offers university and careers guidance as well as guidance on how to approach examination technique and cope with examination stress. Roland's focus on A level teaching and preparation only allows him to bring a depth of learning to his pupils to give the strongest support to academic development in Chemistry.
