Scott's biography

Scott has been teaching since 2015 and internationally since 2018, and studied at the University of York where he gained his PGCE in Secondary Education (Computer Science), and MSc in Software Engineering whilst also working as a teacher in Yorkshire. He has a BSc (Hons) from the Open University, focused on Computer Science. Prior to this he completed his FdA in Broadcast Operations at Ravensbourne University in London, with a specialism in Producing for Television and Film, working part-time in the industry.

IB Experience

Scott has taught and been soley responsible for the IB Diploma Program for Computer Science (SL and HL) for 5 years at Insitut Le Rosey in Switzerland, consistently achieving grade 5 - 7 in all cohorts, with his students going on to study in Ivy League and Russel Group Universities, as well as other institutions in the UK and USA.

Scott has supervised EEs every year, some in Comp Sci, but mostly in World Studies where students want to write something focused on a global perspective related to two subjects (usually Comp Sci and another HL subject). Scott also taught TOK for 3 years with similarly consistent results. He has completed CAT1 training in both Comp Sci and ToK.

Scott qualified to teach Information Technology in 2016, and holds a PGCE in Computer Science from University of York.
