Before Andrew found teaching he had been a financial consultant, a marketing, communications and PR officer, a company manager and business development manager, a yoga and meditation teacher, an actor, a chef, a creative and artist, a music festival producer and manager and more! Andrew left his own education with 5 and a half A-levels of his own as well as a BA in Politics (with Philosophy) and a Masters in International relations, Ethics and Philosophy.
Andrew first came to teaching through becoming a Special Education Needs Teaching assistant; he also completed lots of work experience in other secondary and primary schools (for example Highgate School and Grafton Primary School).
Makaela graduated with a First Class degree in English Literature and gained a Master’s degree in English Literature before qualifying as an ‘Outstanding’ grade teacher with a PGCE (Professional Graduate Certificate in Education).
A highly qualified and experienced teaching professional, Makaela has over 10 years’ teaching and tutoring experience.
Maud is a current English GCSE Examiner for both Language and Literature and a full-time Secondary School Teacher of English up to A-Level. She is also Head of Literacy in her school, a UCAS Advisor and a KCL Kings Ambassador 2017/18.
Laura studied Linguistics and Phonetics at the University of Leeds. She then decided to pursue a career in teaching and earned a place on the prestigious Teach First Leadership Development Programme, a teacher-training scheme for high-achieving graduates.
Alanya is an experienced tutor and classroom teacher and works as a teacher educator, tutoring trainee teachers and their mentors across London for the prestigious Teach First programme. Alanya has a breadth of private tuition experience, having worked with pupils for entrance at 7,8, 9 and 11 plus, as well grammar school entrance and general booster tuition.
Maria read Spanish at the University of Oxford, graduating in 2015, and then joined the prestigious Teach First Leadership Development Programme. She gained an ‘Outstanding’ PGCE from the UCL Institute of Education and has taught for a number of years in a diverse North London Academy, specialising in Early Years and Key Stage One.
