Jay is a qualified Solicitor that re-trained to become a Teacher. He is now Head of Maths at a London prep school and has over 10 years experience of successfully helping students to secure top grades at 11+, pre-test, Common Entrance and Scholarship.
Lizzie firmly believes that teaching is one of the most rewarding careers there is, and that primary school is the foundation for children to reach their full potential. Lizzie's interest in the world of education was the reason she read, and greatly enjoyed, Education Studies at Cambridge University.
Laura studied Linguistics and Phonetics at the University of Leeds. She then decided to pursue a career in teaching and earned a place on the prestigious Teach First Leadership Development Programme, a teacher-training scheme for high-achieving graduates.
Alessio loves studying! He currently holds three Masters (one in Engineering, one in Computing and one in Psychotherapy), and works as a private Maths teacher for students who are home-schooled by Local Authorities or need tuition in addition to school classes, while running a private psychotherapy practice. He regularly works as an examiner for Edexcel and he works for Harrow School Enterprises to offer revision course for A Level, GCSE and IGCSE Mathematics.
Fifteen years of experience working in a variety of schools has given Arabella a secure grounding in examination skills. She is organised, energetic and self-directed and can develop a positive and authoritative rapport thereby creating trust and a good relationship in order to achieve their goals.
Before Andrew found teaching he had been a financial consultant, a marketing, communications and PR officer, a company manager and business development manager, a yoga and meditation teacher, an actor, a chef, a creative and artist, a music festival producer and manager and more! Andrew left his own education with 5 and a half A-levels of his own as well as a BA in Politics (with Philosophy) and a Masters in International relations, Ethics and Philosophy.
Andrew first came to teaching through becoming a Special Education Needs Teaching assistant; he also completed lots of work experience in other secondary and primary schools (for example Highgate School and Grafton Primary School).
