Rosemary's biography

Rosemary is an empathetic, enthusiastic, and highly experienced Mathematics Teacher with over 15 years' experience teaching and tutoring in the UK and in Europe. This includes IB Diploma Mathematics, IGCSE Mathematics (both Core and Extended), IGCSE Additional Mathematics, GCSE Mathematics, MYP years 6 to 10, and KS3, plus some school entrance exams.

She has a first-class honours degree in Mathematics and Education from the University of Cambridge.

Rosemary is quick to build rapport with students and foster a positive can-do attitude. She uses her wealth of knowledge to break down concepts into more manageable parts, and explain concepts clearly. She is highly adaptable and uses technology to enhance learning – but thinks that often nothing beats pencil and paper!

Rosemary enjoys working with students who might currently be struggling in Maths, helping them to overcome their anxiety and make good progress. She is also adept at stretching more able students who are keen to be challenged.

Recently back in the UK, she is available either in person in Norwich or online.

IB Experience

Roesemary has taught the IB Diploma Programme for the past 9 years. First four years at the International School of Paris, an IB World school (where students do PYP, MYP, IB), where she taught IB Maths Studies and IB Mathematics SL. The past five years at St Louis School, Milan, first as Mathematics teacher then as Head of the Mathematics Department. Rosemary taught IGCSEs (both Mathematics and Additional Mathematics) and IB Mathematics (both Applications and Interpretation and the Analysis and Approaches SL courses) and is aware of the challenges of the IB Programme.
