Harriet's biography

Harriet is an experienced and empathetic teacher with a proven track record of teaching in five different countries. Her passion for Geography has been at the forefront of her career, stemming from her academic journey at the University of Exeter, where she studied Geography. During her degree, she spent a year at Montana State University, specialising in their prestigious snow science programme.

After completing her undergraduate studies, Harriet earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Outdoor Education before being selected for the highly competitive Teach First programme. She spent two years teaching in inner-city London schools, honing her skills in diverse classroom environments. She then moved abroad to teach in international schools and took on the additional role of examiner for multiple exam boards, including GCSE and A-level Geography.

Most recently, Harriet taught Geography across a range of curricula, including GCSE, iGCSE, A-level, IB, and the American High School Diploma, at an international school in Geneva, Switzerland. During her five years as Head of Department, she led her students to remarkable achievements, including placements at Oxbridge and top US universities. One of her students achieved the highest Geography GCSE marks in Europe.

Harriet is dedicated to helping secondary students build confidence and excel in their qualifications. She is particularly skilled at supporting students with SEN needs, ensuring they feel equipped with the tools and frameworks to succeed in their exams.
