Tutor profile - Anna

After graduating from Oxford University with a BA in Classics and Modern Languages, Anna has gained 24 years of teaching experience in Secondary and Middle Schools and has carried out a variety of roles, including Head of French, Head of Classics, Head of Sixth Form and Assistant Headteacher. She is also an examiner for Edexcel A level French.

Anna is a very experienced teacher of French, Latin and Classical Civilisation (at key stages 3, 4 and 5) and has an excellent track record of inspiring and supporting students to fulfil their full potential. Anna provides effective support and guidance tailored to students’ individual needs and helps them develop in to resilient, independent learners with a passion for their chosen subject.

In addition to her wide-ranging teaching experience, Anna has also gained extensive experience of one-to-one academic mentoring. This mentoring has been very successful in raising students’ aspirations, improving motivation levels, building self-confidence and helping students develop effective study and revision techniques.

In her free time, Anna enjoys outdoor activities with her two sons, including cycling, camping and playing football.
