Victoria studied for her undergraduate degree at the University of Sheffield, graduating with a 2.1 BA (Hons.) in History in 2010. Victoria went on to study for her PGCE in Secondary History and qualified as a teacher in 2012. Victoria worked in a high-achieving grammar school in Kent, before moving back home to South Yorkshire, and taking on the role of Second in the Department for History in a large comprehensive school in Doncaster. Victoria led the changes to the A-level curriculum in this role and has extensive GCSE and A-level teaching experience which she continues to tutor online. Victoria moved to Scotland in 2018 and gained registration to teach both History and Modern Studies with the GTCS. Victoria also supports students through the UCAS process and is currently tutoring a student in preparation for the HAT entrance exam for Oxford.
Victoria has an excellent track record of teaching and tutoring students through their A-level studies, and has seen many of her students gain places at the top universities. Victoria tailors her tutoring sessions to the needs of the students and can support students to develop their essay-writing skills and source analysis, in addition to covering a wide range of content from different exam boards.
Victoria adopts a friendly and approachable style to her tutoring, and genuinely wants the very best for all the young people she tutors. Victoria has a real passion for her subject which comes across through her tutoring and focuses on students developing a genuine interest in History in order to achieve their potential.
