Tutor profile - Isabel

Isabel studied Natural Sciences at University College London (UCL), specialising in Inorganic Chemistry and Particle Physics and received a First Class Honours.

After this she completed the Teach First program as a secondary school science teacher specialising in chemistry and physics. She taught at a school which was awarded TES Secondary School of The Year. During Isabel's time at this school she taught both KS3 and KS4 classes including both high and low ability GCSE classes through to their final exams, achieving great success in their results.

Isabel has now returned to UCL to complete a Master's in Materials and Molecular Modelling.

From 2018 has been privately tutoring students from year 7 through to year 13. All students she have taught achieved above their initial grade, with all students receiving 7 - 9 grades at GCSE.

Isabel's core aim is not only to ensure that students can confidently answer questions in accordance with marking schemes to achieve the best grade possible, but to share her love of learning with your child so that they can truly enjoy their studies. Isabel aims to impart her students with a solid understanding of both scientific principles and the scientific method which are essential skills needed far beyond the classroom.
