Tutor profile - Nick

Nick is an experienced maths tutor with a proven track record for over 20 years. He has taught and tutored A Level maths, A Level Further maths, GCSE maths, iGCSE maths, and other mathematics qualifications as a Head of Mathematics and as a tutor both online (using Zoom, Zhumu, Teams and ClassIn) and face-to-face.

Nick has a PhD in mathematics as well as a BSc and MSc. He has qualified teacher status (PGCE University of Warwick), He has AST (Advanced Skills teacher) status, and other nationally recognised teaching qualifications (NPQSL and NPQLTD). Nick enjoys helping students to understand mathematics that they have previously been confused by. All of his previous students have made significant progress (a recent example is a student who progressed from a U at AS Level to a grade B in 4 months at 2 hours per week). Nick has recently been appointed as a coordinator for a national organisation that aims to improve mathematics education and he therefore has an increase in capacity to tutor. Nick is an enthusiastic, patient teacher who never considers any question to be a 'stupid question'.
