Hannah studied for her Bachelor of Arts in Adelaide, South Australia, specialising in Modern History, Politics and International Relations, and English - both looking at literature and film studies. She then completed an Honours year as a double in Politics and History, completing an 18,000-word thesis on the semantics of the term 'genocide' focussing on the experience of Armenia and Darfur. Following this, she completed her Master of Teaching (Secondary), receiving dual qualifications in English and Humanities (History, Geography, Economics and Politics)
She has been teaching Grade 8 to Grade 12 in Australia for the past 4 years following the Australian curriculum, building units and providing mentoring for students. In 2024 she relocated to London to take up a teaching role at an international school following the IB curriculum and is teaching MYP I&S and DP History.
In her free time, she reads voraciously, meanders London, takes in as many museums and galleries as possible, and makes the most of the close travel opportunities.
IB Experience
Hannah is the coordinator of the History program for DP (History of the Americas) and MYP, has experience teaching the IA and EE, and has completed both MYP Professional Development Category 1 and DP History Category 2. She is in the process of teaching Global Politics and will be undertaking professional development for this speciality. In the new academic year, Hannah will also be teaching TOK and has taught Personal Project G10.
