Laura

Laura is a highly experienced educator who has been working with children and young people for over 20 years. She holds a PhD in Education from UCL and has also provided consultancy for schools on SEND inclusion. Graduating with a first in English Studies, Laura went on to complete a PGCE at UCL, specialising in SEND. She has since worked in range of settings including primary schools; special schools and in higher education. Laura's primary subject is English which she can teach from Early Years to A level. She is also particularly skilled at supporting students with SEND. She works creatively and collaboratively with students to find the approach that best helps them to learn. Laura worked as an academic teaching and publishing research on issues of inclusion and equality in education. She has taught Sociology and Psychology to undergraduate students and has offered tutoring in these subjects at GCSE and A level. Laura is kind and good humoured in her teaching approach, always centring the student in how she works.
