Lisa

I am a Geography specialist with experience teaching across GCSE, A Level and IB. I currently teach at King’s College School, Wimbledon, where I have worked for the past six and a half years, achieving consistently strong outcomes, with over 90% of pupils attaining the top grade, including 95% at grade 7 in IB Geography. I lead our IB Geography provision, including assessment, tracking, and oversight of student progress. Prior to this, I taught at Surbiton High School (2016–2019), where I taught GCSE and A Level Geography and contributed to excellent results, including the highest percentage of A* grades at GCSE in the department’s history.

Alongside my classroom teaching at King’s College School, Wimbledon, I have extensive experience supporting students individually through academic mentoring, including leading on Geography UCAS personal statements and supporting applications to Oxbridge and Russell Group universities. I am also an Edexcel and AQA examiner, which informs my approach to exam technique and assessment.

At King’s, I have been closely involved in 16+ admissions, including reviewing applications and interviewing prospective students, and I bring significant pastoral experience through my current role as Director of Mental Health and Wellbeing. This enables me to support students not only academically, but also in developing confidence, resilience, and independence.
