Tutor profile - Imogen

Imogen has taught for the last 20 years in the private sector and has loved how no two days in teaching are ever the same. She takes great joy in watching children grow and flourish and become passionate about their learning. Imogen's favourite moments are those that are normally not planned; the fancy dancing to the tidy up music, the joy and excitement of children reaching their own goals and the awe and wonder of discovering something new.

Imogen has high expectations of children, and she strives to enable all children to achieve their full potential. She thoroughly enjoys topic-based learning which gives her the opportunity to be creative with the curriculum and provide a relevant yet fun learning experience for the children. However, she also enjoy teaching Maths and English which can stand alone and be taught both practically and in a more formal stile depending on the skills being taught and the individual.

When Imogen is not at school she really enjoying spending time with my family. She has two daughters, so is kept on her toes with playdates, dog agility, drama, cooking and being outdoors. Imogen's husband is a farmer and, they live on the farm, where there is always plenty of things to do or animals to go and see.

Imogen is looking forward to contributing to the future of different children and to developing her teaching career with children not always in a school setting.

Imogen passionately believes children should be happy, and if they are happy they will be learning.
