Pamela is an experienced teacher and has taught in leading independent and state schools such as Kendrick School and Reading School. She has tutored privately for over twenty years and has successfully prepared students for GCSE and A-Level examinations in all exam boards. She has a strong track record in helping students achieve their goals for GCSE and A-Level English Literature and Language exams.
Having high expectations for all her students, Pamela works closely to support schoolwork as well as extend knowledge beyond the classroom helping to develop breadth and depth across all areas of study (reading, writing, speaking and listening). She also has a great deal of experience with students in secondary school who are bilingual as well as with students who have special educational needs such as dyslexia, ADHD, depression and anxiety.
Pamela believes she brings a unique view to the lessons having received her first BSc Hons Degree in Education from St. John’s University in New York. She is passionate about literature, writing and art continuing her own education while raising her two children and has achieved an additional BA Hons Degree in Professional Photographic Imaging from TVU, Reading as well as completing Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Creative Writing with the Open University. Pamela holds a Master of Arts with Distinction in Creative Writing: The Novel from Brunel University London and has recently completed a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing at Cardiff University.
When she is not tutoring or studying, Pamela enjoys spending time with her family, reading, baking, tennis as well as seeing films, plays and art exhibitions.
