I can’t recommend Leo highly enough. She has been absolutely brilliant with our child throughout her 11+ preparation. She is knowledgeable about the schools we are targeting and the exam process and is patient, and encouraging. She has the right balance of fun and hard work, as well as a fantastic way of building confidence and stamina. She really has understood my daughter and her style of learning and adapts her lessons to my daughter’s needs. My daughter has made huge progress academically but also thrived in terms of her attitude, approach and learning style and her ability to push through really hard things rather than just give up when something is academically very tough. Most importantly for me, however, my daughter has really loved her lessons and looked forward to them and it is obvious that Leo genuinely cares about what is best for my child. She has been so mindful of the fact that it’s a real little person she is teaching and whilst being prepared to push her hard, has remained been wonderfully aware and respectful of my child’s own limitations, on the odd occasion even suggesting we stop a lesson (without charging) when my daughter was at saturation point and could not focus well eg after a really bad day at school etc. Leo has always been flexible with regard to lessons and has consistently fed back and communicated regarding progress and need. She has been clear from the start in what our expectations should be. If I have needed advice (or even my own pep talk since this process is hard for the parents as well!!) she has always made herself available too. I would absolutely recommend Leo and can wholeheartedly say she has been wonderful.
