Sally is a highly qualified primary school teacher with over 14 years classroom experience, after gaining a PGCE from The Institute of Education. She has worked in both phases and EYFS.
Sally is dedicated to building children’s confidence and supporting them on their learning journey. Through building positive relationships in a nurturing environment, Sally plans creative and engaging lessons, using a variety of methods. These include practical activities with a range of different resources and through exploring the students own interests.
Sally also has a Certificate in Therapeutic Teaching, which further developed her therapeutic teaching skills. She has experience of teaching children with Additional needs including ADD/ADHD, Anxiety and SEMH.
Sally has extensive experience of teaching phonics, having used Jolly Phonics and Essential Letters and Sounds. She is trained in White Rose Mathematics and supporting pupils’ mathematical fluency. She has also worked as an Intervention teacher and as a tutor at a Saturday School in both English and Maths, across KS2 during her teaching career in London.
