Ayesha's biography
Ayesha is a qualified teacher who has over four years of experience tutoring online. She specialises in tutoring Maths, English, Sats and the 11 plus exams. She has successfully supported a number of students to gain entrance into a variety of different selective schools including: North Bridge House, Kent test, Francis Holland and Queensgate.
She usually does a baseline assessment to identify the areas the student needs support. Also, at the beginning of sessions she likes to start with a retrieval practice question or starter activity. Then she uses the "I do, We do and You do" structure for her sessions and tailors the sessions to the students' needs.
In addition, she uses an individualised approach to learning. She uses strategies such as game-based learning, scaffolding, modelling and differentiation. She motivates her students through games and quizzes. She ensures her lessons are fun, engaging as well as educational.
