Georgia's biography
Georgia has worked as a secondary English teacher for five years in the state sector. She has a detailed understanding of the knowledge and skills required to achieve a strong grade at GCSE and A-Level and enjoys working with students to improve their skills in English - whatever their prior attainment. She is friendly and personable and teaches responsively, being led by the student and their individual needs rather than adopting a 'one size fits all' approach.
Georgia has always loved literature and received a First from the University of York in 2010. She enjoyed her degree so much that she remained at uni for another year and completed an MA in Renaissance Literature, for which she was awarded Distinction in 2011. Before retraining as a teacher, Georgia edited children's books for several large publishing houses, working on brands including David Walliams, Enid Blyton and Peter Rabbit.
