Karen completed her BA degree in German with Hispanic Studies at the University of Nottingham, and her PGCE in German with French at the University of Cambridge. Karen is passionate about teaching and has 20 years of classroom teaching experience in the UK, the Middle East and Australia, in both state and independent schools.
Karen has taught students online, both in the classroom and privately and is an excellent and well-prepared practitioner with a proven track record of success. Karen is an advocate for student mental health and strives to support her students accordingly. She has a keen interest in psychology and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychology from the University of Liverpool. She uses her knowledge and understanding of psychology to inform her teaching approaches, practise and responses. Karen is very approachable and cares about her students’ well-being while ensuring they achieve their potential. She adjusts her teaching approaches to the individual and uses a variety of activities and strategies to ensure her lessons are interesting, fun and keep students engaged.
Karen qualified to teach German in 1998, and holds a PGCE German, French from Homerton College, University of Cambridge.
