Tutor profile - Frances

Frances started her teaching career in 2006 having completed her training at St Mary's, Twickenham. Since then, she has taught in schools across London and British International schools in Dubai, UAE and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. During her career, Frances has been curriculum lead for both English and Mathematics. She therefore has vast knowledge of the curriculum and is able to achieve great results. For her learners, Frances uses engaging teaching activities where objectives are simplified and skills progressively built upon in order to achieve desired outcomes. As a result, pupils have more confidence, enjoyment and focus in their learning and start to feel as though the objectives are 'easy' to accomplish as they begin to build connections.
Frances is often described by children as kind and funny. She has a fantastic ability to relate to children and to find the things that make them 'tick'. When she is not teaching, Frances enjoys exploring new lands and culture through travel and hiking. She is a great fan of live theatre and music, playing musical instruments, practicing yoga and continuing to learn Portuguese.
