How to get into Chepstow House School at 7+

Introduction

Chepstow House School is a co-educational prep school for children from nursery to Year 8, located in Notting Hill. Students can enter Chepstow House via admissions points 2+ and 4+ (non-selective) or at 7+, 8+ or 11+ (based on assessment). The number of children accepted at 7+ depends on the number of places available in the year group. The vast majority of children join at either Reception or nursery.

Before you apply

The school no longer offers specific Open Afternoons for 7 plus candidates and instead offers tours to parents who have registered for a place.

For the year 2023/24 the fees for Chepstow House School were £7,785 per term. This worked out at £23,355 per year.

A non-refundable fee of £175 is payable on registration.

Assessment(s)

Assessments for 7plus entry (and any occasional place) are sat throughout the year. It comprises of written assessments and a taster morning, where applicants can experience what the Chepstow House school day is like. Children will sit an exam in Maths, Reading/comprehension, Writing and Reasoning.

Results

Following the assessment days, places will be offered to successful candidates. Once a place is offered, a £2,500 deposit is payable. This is non-refundable if the child does not take up a place at the school. If the child does take up a place, the money will be returned in the child’s term of leaving.
