Are you hoping for your child to win one of the places at Chepstow House at 7+? Read on! This blog tells you everything you need to know about the application process: from registering your child, to pre-tests, exams and the interview.
Chepstow House School is a co-educational prep school for children from nursery to Year 6, located in Notting Hill. Students can enter Chepstow House via admissions points 2+ and 4+ (non-selective) or at 7+ or later (based on assessment). The number of children accepted at 7+ depends on the number of places available in the year group. The vast majority of children join at either Reception or nursery.
The school no longer offers specific Open Afternoons for 7 plus candidates and instead offers tours to parents who have registered for a place.
For the year 2025/2026 the fees for Chepstow House School were £9490 per term. This works out at £28,470 per year.
At the time of writing, applications for entry in September 2026 were open. Please contact the school for further information regarding application deadlines. An application form can be found here.
A non-refundable fee is payable on registration.
Assessments for 7 Plus entry (and any occasional place) are sat throughout the year. They comprise written assessments and a taster morning, where applicants can experience what the Chepstow House school day is like. Children will sit an exam in Maths, Reading/comprehension, Writing and Reasoning.
Following the assessment days, places will be offered to successful candidates. Once a place is offered, a deposit is payable. This is non-refundable if the child does not take up a place at the school. If the child does take up a place, the money will be returned in the child’s term of leaving.
