Tutor profile - Elin

Elin is an experienced, motivated and passionate tutor, with over eight years experience working as a classroom teacher around London. After studying English Literature at the University of Sussex, she graduated with a PGCE from UCL’s Institute of Education in 2015.

Working primarily in Year 6, her practice has continually been rated as ‘outstanding’, with a focus on engaging children to become more confident, independent thinkers. Her plans cater to the needs of her pupils, carefully balancing the need to extend and support, whilst following the National Curriculum and 11+ guidelines. Under her guidance and commitment, her pupils reached some of the top SATS scores of the year across the school from 2018 onwards. As well as her extensive classroom practice, she has also worked with children 1:1 for both secondary entrance exams and catch-up sessions, making her the ideal tutor.

Elin believes that happy children make the best learners. Working alongside parents, she aims to build a safe, positive and vibrant setting where her students feel excited to challenge themselves and to reach their full potential.
