As a school entrance specialist tutor, Pip has taught children preparing for 11+ exams and entrance exams for various schools across the country. Pip also tutors children who just require general support in core subjects for KS1 and KS2.
Pip became a teacher in 2014 and taught predominantly in Years 5 and 6, giving her a deep understanding of how best to support this age group to realise their full potential. She now teaches across KS1 and KS2 in school, so is as confident tutoring KS1 students as she is tutoring for KS2.
Pip has extensive experience in creating interactive, engaging and accessible lessons for children in Years 2 – 6 and has developed content for varying levels of maths, grammar and reading. She delivers all her lessons online and uses a pen and tablet to ensure the sessions are fully interactive.
Pip is adept at building confidence in all subjects and has an encouraging and nurturing style of teaching.

Testimonials:
I can't recommend Pip more highly, She is a very reliable, dedicated tutor, who has a wealth of knowledge and has many years' experience in the 11+ process. She has excellent communication skills and is able to communicate difficult concepts to the child, somehow making them appear simple and logical. She always incorporates an element of fun into the lesson and my son looks forward to his weekly hour with Pip. She has a wonderful rapport with children and has a special gift in making the child feel listened to and understood. (Mother)
Pip is a kind, honest and caring teacher. She helps me with my maths, including times tables, number lines, and adding and taking away. I would recommend Pip because she is an amazing teacher who makes learning fun for kids. Since I’ve been having lessons with Pip it’s helped me a lot at school as it is easier to remember. The answers just pop into my head now! (Student)
My daughter has been working with Pip to help with transition from year 4 to 5, after she was noticed to be falling behind her peers. Since having lessons with Pip every week she is so much more confident about her learning and is happy about going to school again. She is more confident, capable and enjoys the time she has with Pip each week. Pip makes an effort to personalise the sessions to really engage my daughter. I would highly recommend Pip - she is kind, patient and sessions are fun. (Mother)
Covid meant a lot of school was missed and maths became the least favourite subject. My daughter is catching up with times tables and other areas already after only 4 lessons. Pip communicates with parents to let us know which areas need more support. Double thumbs up from us. Kind, professional and interactive. (Mother)
