Tutor profile - Ashley

Ashley is an exceptional and experienced teacher in early years and key stage 1. She has worked extensively as a teacher for 17 years in Inner London. Ashley is nurturing and enables the children to reach their potential in phonics, reading, writing and maths. She is able to extend the children’s understanding and application of key skills. Ashley is familiar with Early Learning goals, Year 1 phonics screening and Year 2 SATs. She has a proven record of boosting attainment scores across reading, writing and maths.

Ashley is responsive to individual children, their needs and experiences, finding ways to interest them in their learning. She is currently tutoring a child with dyslexia, resulting in accelerated progress. Using her vast experience, she analyses the gaps in the children’s knowledge and supports them to make consistent improvement. She uses methods and resources frequently used in Primary Schools to inform her teaching and learning for the children.
