Holly has worked with children aiming to attend the following schools:
Holly helped three students to gain scholarships at King’s College Canterbury and five others to gain places. She helped four students to gain scholarships at Tonbridge School and eight others to gain places. One of her pupils achieved a scholarship to Harrow School last year and his English Mark was particularly commended by the examiners. She has been 100% successful for my pupils at Common Entrance English and the English result is often one of their top grades. One of her former pupils who she helped to achieve an academic scholarship at Sevenoaks School has recently started at Cambridge University, and a former pupil at Benenden School who she mentored recently graduated from Oxford.
Holly studied at Durham University where she gained a degree in English Literature and Music, and then moved to London where she gained a Masters at King's College. After this she worked at Middlesex University, whilst studying for her Ph.D which was awarded in 2004. She has over ten years' experience teaching in the independent school sector at both prep and senior level, and over twenty years’ teaching experience in total. She is passionate about getting children to love English, and particularly loves tackling creative writing. She is committed as an educational professional to identifying and achieving each child's full potential.
Holly qualified to teach English in 2009, and holds a PGCE from Goldsmith's College, University of London.
