Francesca has worked with children aiming to attend the following schools:
Francesca has seen pupils gain a place at some of the top universities and prep-schools. These include City of London Girls, Highgate, Westminster, Eaton Square School, St Helen's School, St Paul's Girls and Westminster Under, amongst others.
Francesca studied English Literature and Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh and went on to train with the prestigious Teach First Leadership Development program. Having gained a PGCE from the Institute of Education with ‘outstanding’ status, she taught for a number of years at an academy in North London before going on to study a masters in Psychology. Francesca was able to develop her interest in child and adolescent development during this time and now predominantly works in a therapy service for children and families. Francesca’s commitment and dedication to children’s wellbeing has seen rapid levels of progress, even with the most challenging of pupils.
While in the classroom, Francesca has a particular interest in raising children’s attainment through oracy and discussion; she has taken much influence from Philosophy for Children in her practice and lead this with great success in her school. Francesca has seen great levels of improvement with her core subjects through teaching the children the power of discussion and analysis. She is a very kind and loving professional who enjoys building self-confidence and curiosity in young people. Adopting the ‘whole child’ approach to pedagogy, she has worked throughout the key stages with great success and has extensive knowledge of teaching children on the ASD spectrum. She has been a specialist tutor for children with autism, as well as tutoring English to fellow students during an elected year abroad at the University of Vienna.
As a teacher, Francesca has benefited greatly through teaching in an all-through school. This means that she has had the privilege of working in the Secondary as well as Primary department and has mentored students through GCSE and A-Level English Literature and R.E.
Outside of the classroom, Francesca is a keen reader, radio listener and (slightly lacklustre) runner!
Francesca qualified to teach Primary education in 2015, and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Institute of Education.

"Just a quick email to say thank you for the tuition we have received from Francesca this past term. We are going to stop this now. Francesca has been a wonderful influence on our daughter. She has not only help her to materially improve her performance in tests, but also helped her confidence to grow."
