Tutor profile - Anderson

Anderson has over 11 years of experience teaching 11-18 year-olds mathematics, across all ability ranges including Further Mathematics. In addition, he has also privately tutored GCSE (and IGCSE) and A Level Mathematics (including Further Mathematics), and those taking the Common Entrance Examination some of whom have gone onto prestigious schools such as Eton. In addition to his teaching experience, Anderson is an A-level mathematics examiner with over 5 years of experience. He enjoys making links between mathematics and technological development and highlighting the application of mathematics to diverse fields such as business and economics, engineering, medicine, and computing among many others.

Anderson graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics with major mathematics and statistics components. He then worked in the mining industry in Southern Africa as a mineral economist and statistician for 10 years. During this time he also earned a licentiate in economics degree from Sweden, specialising in mathematical modelling before obtaining a PhD in mathematical economics.
