Mits

Mithusha is a dedicated and experienced primary educator with a strong background in Early Years and Key Stage 1 teaching. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a BSc in Medical Genetics from Queen Mary University of London. With several years of teaching experience across London schools, she brings both subject expertise and a nurturing approach to her work with children. Her teaching journey began as a Teaching Assistant, where she supported students across upper Key Stage 2 before training as a teacher through the Ark Schools programme. Since qualifying, she has worked across EYFS and Year 1, using structured phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc to build early literacy skills and develop confident readers. She has extensive experience working with pupils with a wide range of needs, including SEN, and adapts her teaching to ensure that every child feels included, supported and challenged.

Mithusha is known for creating warm, engaging classroom environments where children feel safe and motivated to learn. She has also led parent workshops in Maths and Phonics, building strong home-school partnerships to reinforce learning beyond the classroom. During periods of school closure, she delivered high-quality online lessons via Zoom and Google Classroom, demonstrating adaptability and digital fluency.

In addition to classroom teaching, she has experience as a private tutor, offering personalised support to children at various stages of their primary education. She is passionate about helping each child reach their full potential through patient, structured, and joyful learning experiences.
