Kate has worked as Head of English for EYFS and KS1 in a large and inclusive primary school in London, head of KS1 in an international British school based in the Netherlands and currently works in a prep school in west London. Kate is a dynamic and vibrant practitioner who excels at making learning fun and engaging. Drawing on her years of primary teaching experience, Kate is able to plan and devise individualised lessons for pupils, focusing specifically on their needs and capabilities.
Kate is an engaging, joyful teacher who forms very strong connections with the children in her care. She is patient and consistent with children who struggle to manage their own learning, and she is careful to ensure that all children in her care feel welcome, safe, and respected.
Kate is a graduate of the London School of Economics, where she studied Criminology and Social Policy and later earned her PGCE at the Institute of Education, whilst completing the Teach First Leadership Development Programme.
In her free time, Kate enjoys reading, keeping fit and going to the theatre. She plans to develop a specialism in Social Justice and Education.
